What is the Voluntary Assisted Dying law in my state?

Every Australian state has now passed a Voluntary Assisted Dying law. (Although the Territories are still blocked from passing their own laws - Click here to join the Territories campaign).

Although broadly consistent, each state’s law is slightly different. Click on your state below to find accurate, up-to-date information from your health department. 


 

Victoria

Victoria's Voluntary Assisted Dying law commenced in June 2019.
