Go Gentle Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Linda Swan, who is currently the Group Chief Medical Officer at Medibank, as our incoming chief executive.

With voluntary assisted dying laws now passed in every state, and a bill currently before the Senate to allow the Northern Territory and ACT to do the same, you may be wondering where next for Go Gentle Australia. Yet it's clear our work is not yet complete; passing a law is one thing, but making sure that it works - and works well - is another. |

Linda joins us from Medibank, where she has been Group Chief Medical Officer since 2015, and brings with her not just a wealth of knowledge and contacts across the medical professions, but also frontline experience as a former GP. Under Linda’s leadership, we will:
Of course, Linda’s arrival means we are bidding farewell to our founding CEO Kiki Paul, who is standing aside after six outstanding years shepherding us from a tiny startup to the respected national voice we’re proud to be. I couldn’t be more grateful to Kiki, and am very pleased she will join our Board. Linda will begin her new role in October. Best wishes
