A thank you for all you've done
2025 has been a tremendous year for end-of-life choice and, as always, none of our successes would have been possible without you.
This year we:
- successfully defended our voluntary assisted dying (VAD) laws
- provided critical support to the delivery of positive amendments to Victoria’s legislation, and to the implementation of the ACT's new law
- secured a commitment from the Northern Territory government to draft VAD legislation in 2026
- delivered improvements in VAD information through our National Report Card on VAD in Residential Aged Care; and raised awareness via our Walkley Award-winning book The Power of Choice.
If the year showed us anything, it’s that Go Gentle's work is as important as ever.
Next year we will:
- hold the NT's leaders to their promise
- bring The Power of Choice exhibition to Sydney, Brisbane and Perth
- host our third (and biggest!) trans-Tasman VAD conference in Melbourne
- continue to work to remove barriers to access and create a more sustainable VAD system.
As 2025 draws to a close, we wish you a relaxing and safe holiday season.
